Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is the Walk only for old dogs? No, dogs (and humans) of all ages can attend. Dogs must be on a leash at all times though.

2. Do I need to register before the Walk? We encourage you to pre-register online before the event. You can sign-up at the Walk but be aware you can't fund raise and may have to wait in line a bit. (We can take credit cards).

3. Is the registration fee for more than one person? No, everyone must register individually. The registration fee is $25 per person.

4. I don't have a dog. Can I still participate? Absolutely! Everyone is welcome to participate and raise money for our senior dogs.

5. Are dog strollers allowed? Yes! In fact, they are a major attraction at the Walk. Many people decorate their strollers (and their dogs).

5. I registered but can't make it. Can I get a refund? All registration fees are non-refundable. Rest assured, your donation is going to help the dogs.

6. How do I get to Cromwell Park? Click here for a map. It's easy to find (right off 1-5). 

7. Where do I park? There is plenty of street parking in the north parking lot and along the east side of the park on Orliss Ave. North.

8. How do I enter my dog in the Old Dog Pageant? Just register at the walk. Look for the sign-up tent next to the main registration tent. If you are registered for the walk it is free to enter your dog. 

9. How do I enter my dachshund in the Dachshund Race for the Rescue? The entry fee is $25 for each dog. Donate online on this website  at the Dachshund Race for the Rescue team page. Just click here to go to the page. All of the entry fees go to help Old Dog Haven

10. Is the Walk accessible for wheelchairs? Yes, the walk path is paved and flat and there is easy vehicle drop-off access to the paved path. The vendor and sponsor booths and the amphitheater are all accessible unless, in a very unusual situation in late July, the grass is wet and soft.
